I was enjoying a late Sunday evening fishing adventure at the local city lake using my wife's Kurenai HM33R. I had a size 14 black bluegill killer on a 6X tippet. Caught a bunch of small bluegill and a couple of baby bass (4"ers). Decided to make one more cast and caught this beautiful spotted bass. About 14" and fought like all get out. The Kurenai handled it very well and did not strain it much. I was more worried about breaking the fly off. Love my wife's 1 ounce rod! Bought it from Chris last April at Mountain Home. I guess I will have to let her use it now!! lol

As age slows my pace, I will become more like the heron.
We've all had situations where seriously chewed up flies kept catching fish after fish after fish. It is no sin to tie flies that come off the vise looking seriously chewed up.
The hooks are sharp.
The coffee's hot.
The fish are slippery when wet.
