I had a wonderful day fishing with my son today. We went to our urban trout ponds. There are four ponds, one is catch and release, one bait and keep, one children's pond and one for RC Boats and ducks. We chose the bait pond today. I started out with an Echo Fiberglass fly rod. Caught a few trout and bluegill on some homespun killer buggers. My son was nailing 'em with wax worms and a spinning rod. I switched over to my Suntech Suikei and did well with my killer buggers. I then tried some wax worms with the Suikei and caught fish. We had a ball, it was all about the fun today.

As age slows my pace, I will become more like the heron.
We've all had situations where seriously chewed up flies kept catching fish after fish after fish. It is no sin to tie flies that come off the vise looking seriously chewed up.
The hooks are sharp.
The coffee's hot.
The fish are slippery when wet.
