by Jai
(N.S.W,Australia )

My setup was a Shimotsuke tenkara 3.3, 7ft of level line, 3ft of 1lb test tippet #32 white killer bugger with a Unibobber as a float. Caught my first eastern sea garfish on a fly.

I first was introduced to Gar when i moved to Texas 3 years ago, they look so awesome and vicious! I have yet to have a chance to go after any but they are on my "bucket list"! I hear you have to use a metal line cause there sharp teeth bite through reg. line? What size was yours? Any pics?

As age slows my pace, I will become more like the heron.

The hooks are sharp.
The coffee's hot.
The fish are slippery when wet.
