My Kurenai H30 just may be my favorite rod. It fits the size of stream I enjoy fishing the most.
I have used 2 different lines, 8' #3 tenkara line - 1-2' 6# amnesia and 2'-3' 6X; and a 8' Mystic Creek furled ultra light premium, 1' 6# amnesia, 2-3' 6X. Both lines work well. I picked up 2 nice wild brookies today with a #12 red silk and light partridge hackle tenkara fly. I fished a small creek just 5 min. from my house.
A wonderful little rod that does what it was designed to do. All is good.

As age slows my pace, I will become more like the heron.
We've all had situations where seriously chewed up flies kept catching fish after fish after fish. It is no sin to tie flies that come off the vise looking seriously chewed up.
The hooks are sharp.
The coffee's hot.
The fish are slippery when wet.
