Replacement Part Experience

by Bob H
(New Jersey)

Earlier this year I purchased from Chris a Daiwa Kiyose 30SF rod. On its maiden fishing outing, I was not paying attention and when collapsing the rod I broke the 2nd section. I contacted Chris that night and by and ordered a replacement. By weeks end and replacement part received, I was back on the river fishing. I can say by personal experience, the availability of replacement parts are not an issue when ordering thru Chris and I plan on ordering from Chris in the future.

Thanks for your comment. I hope to make your experience the norm (not the breaking the rod part, the getting back on the river within days part).

Best regards,

I too have had excellent experience when it comes to replacement parts. I recently broke my first rod. I emailed Chris and he had the part out to me pronto.

There are no issues buying rods from Tenkara Bum. I highly recommend the rods provided through Tenkara Bum.

Just a note about Chris
by: John V.

I know that when it comes to spending your hard earned cash on tenkara gear, it can be a bit frightening when you deal with a new online retailer for the first time.

A lot of questions like "is this a legit company, what about parts/warranty service, and do they stand behind their products?"

I happen to know Chris Stewart personally and count him as one of my trusted friends. Rest assured, Chris will stand behind the products he sells and do the utmost possible to provide fantastic customer service. There may be the occasional delay because sometimes the item or service you need has to come all the way from Japan. But it will come.

I have broken rods, lost parts, and ordered some of the strangest, most difficult to find gear from Japan through Chris and he has always come through.

Thanks Chris

Daiwa Replacement Part(s)
by: Anonymous

Yep, i broke my LL36sf the second section, I don't really know why, must have weakened the section on a rock, it just folded up after a few hours of fishing.

Ouch the Daiwa parts are spendy, but Chris had me up and running about 5 days later.

Service is hard to beat, always superb.
