Nissin Pro Spec 320

My son and I recently discovered a stretch of blue line waters with a nice population of wild browns and native brooks. With Chris's help I decided to go with the Nissin Pro Spec 320. I had tried several times with my Nissin 12' rod but there was just too much cover along the side of the streams and a low overhang. With the versatility of this rod I was able to get into pools and riffles I could never reached before and we had a great time getting fish on both dries and dropping an ant behind the stimulator. The ease of being able to quickly extend or retract this rod was invaluable. The great majority of our fish were between the 4 to 8 inch range. The road performed well. Near the end of our excursion, I looked into what turned out to be a 13 inch brown trout, I had originally hooked it with a rod retracted, once I realize that it was a larger fish I was able to extend the rod and landed it, it pushed the rod but I felt he did not exceed its capacity.

Great service and a great rod.

As age slows my pace, I will become more like the heron.

We've all had situations where seriously chewed up flies kept catching fish after fish after fish. It is no sin to tie flies that come off the vise looking seriously chewed up.

Warning:

The hooks are sharp.
The coffee's hot.
The fish are slippery when wet.

Beware of the Dogma

Seriously, all the hooks sold on TenkaraBum.com, whether packaged as loose hooks or incorporated into flies, are dangerously sharp. Some have barbs, which make removal from skin, eyes or clothing difficult. Wear eye protection. Wear a broad-brimmed hat. If you fish with or around children, bend down all hook barbs and make sure the children wear eye protection and broad-brimmed hats. Be aware of your back cast so no one gets hooked.

Also, all the rods sold on TenkaraBum.com will conduct electricity. Do not, under any circumstances, fish during a thunder storm. Consider any fishing rod to be a lightning rod! Fishing rods can and do get hit by lightning!
