Micro Bluegill Wednesday
Went back to my local County Park for a little micro fishing for Bluegill. The set-up for the day was a single #10 shot, .8 lb ASSO test line and my Soyokaze Rod. I also used a new plastic bait from ISG. The bait was their plankton series micro amoebas in red. The bait was very easy to manage and comes with about 16 to a package. I'm guessing after preparation, you should about 150+ 1.5mm baits per package. Bluegill were very attracted to the bait and I was able to land over 40 in the 2-3 inch range in about 1.5 hours. My smallest was about 2.1 inches pictured above.

As age slows my pace, I will become more like the heron.
We've all had situations where seriously chewed up flies kept catching fish after fish after fish. It is no sin to tie flies that come off the vise looking seriously chewed up.
The hooks are sharp.
The coffee's hot.
The fish are slippery when wet.
