Little Presents Fishing Gloves provide a bit of warmth in the winter and sun protection in the summer. Fingertips are free for knot tying.
The gloves are spandex (58% nylon, 37% polyester and 5% polyurethane) and are one-size-fits-all. They were designed for Japanese anglers, so for Americans it might be one size fits most. They are quite stretchy, though, so you'd have to have pretty big hands for them to be too small.
I have had fishing gloves that were pretty warm in the winter, but would make no sense in the summer, and gloves that offered good summer sun protection but would have been useless in winter.
These gloves are in between. They are thick enough to provide some warmth, but not so think that they would be too hot for use in the summer. On a hot summer day, you could always just put your hands in the stream and get evaporative cooling for quite some time. The nonskid palm would give you a good grip wet or dry.
Little Presents is the company that makes the Wader Gaiters, which are well made and well liked. I'm sure these will be, too.
Domestic shipping is $4, via USPS First Class Mail (unless ordered with an item that must go via Priority Mail, and which has a higher shipping charge). The charge is added to your order automatically.
Please note: All packages are shipped via USPS. If you have a PO Box, please list ONLY the PO Box in your address, not the PO Box and your street address.
The charge for international shipping depends on the destination country, the weight of the package, the overall length of the package and the value of the package.
International purchases may be subject to import duties and taxes. I cannot keep track of all import regulations in all countries written in all languages. Understanding and paying import duties and taxes is the responsibility of the buyer.
TenkaraBum.com no longer ships to Russia.
TenkaraBum.com no longer ships to the UK. The new VAT regulations are too onerous for a one-man shop that rarely ships anything to the UK anyway. I apologize.
Australia and New Zealand
The US Postal Service has suspended all shipments to Australia and New Zealand. There are two alternatives. One is the same price as the USPS had been (as calculated at checkout) but may take 3-4 weeks. The other is UPS, which is considerably faster (3-5 days), but also considerably more expensive. If you want the faster, UPS shipment, I will send an invoice for the required amount.
