Little Presents Fishing Gloves provide a bit of warmth in the winter and sun protection in the summer. Fingertips are free for knot tying.
The gloves are spandex (58% nylon, 37% polyester and 5% polyurethane) and are one-size-fits-all. They were designed for Japanese anglers, so for Americans it might be one size fits most. They are quite stretchy, though, so you'd have to have pretty big hands for them to be too small.
Little Presents Fishing Gloves
Nonskid palm.I have had fishing gloves that were pretty warm in the winter, but would make no sense in the summer, and gloves that offered good summer sun protection but would have been useless in winter.
These gloves are in between. They are thick enough to provide some warmth, but not so think that they would be too hot for use in the summer. On a hot summer day, you could always just put your hands in the stream and get evaporative cooling for quite some time. The nonskid palm would give you a good grip wet or dry.
Little Presents is the company that makes the Wader Gaiters, which are well made and well liked. I'm sure these will be, too.

Col. Robert Venables 1662
As age slows my pace, I will become more like the heron.
We've all had situations where seriously chewed up flies kept catching fish after fish after fish. It is no sin to tie flies that come off the vise looking seriously chewed up.
The hooks are sharp.
The coffee's hot.
The fish are slippery when wet.
Beware of the Dogma
All the hooks sold on TenkaraBum.com, whether packaged as loose hooks or incorporated into flies, are sharp - or as Daiichi says on their hook packages, Dangerously Sharp. Some have barbs, which make removal from skin, eyes or clothing difficult. Wear eye protection. Wear a broad-brimmed hat. If you fish with or around children, bend down all hook barbs and make sure the children wear eye protection and broad-brimmed hats. Be aware of your back cast so no one gets hooked.
Also, all the rods sold on TenkaraBum.com will conduct electricity. Do not, under any circumstances, fish during a thunder storm. Consider any fishing rod to be a lightning rod! Fishing rods can and do get hit by lightning!
