Privacy Policy

In the spirit of tenkara, let's keep this simple.

We respect your privacy.

Information We Collect

We collect the information you give us. If you fill out a "contact us" form, you give us a first name and an email address. We use that information to send you a note to thank you for your comment or suggestion. If you use the form to ask a question, we use the information you give us to know where to send the answer. We don't know and don't try to find out if the name you give us is your real name.

If you ask to be added to the mailing list for TenBum's Timely Tips, we collect your name and email address so that we know where to send the Tips.

Please respect other people's privacy and make sure that the email address you give us is correct. Otherwise, someone who didn't fill out the form might get a "thank you" note by mistake. Unwanted email is spam and we don't want to send any unwanted email.

If you submit a page for the Your Tenkara Stories, Your Gear Reviews, etc., we will collect and publish the name and location you give us. We don't know and don't try to find out if it is your real name or if you were actually where you said you were.

We save the comments, suggestions and questions you submit on the "contact us" form. We use them to try to make TenkaraBum more valuable to visitors. We may use your question to build a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page.

If you send us email, we may keep the email so that we can answer your questions or use your comments and suggestions to improve our website.

If you request an ad on the Used Rods Page, we will give your first name and email address to people who write in to buy your rod or to sell you the rod you have asked for.

If you send a comment or a photo, we may use the comment and/or the photo on the TenkaraBum site. We may edit the comment or the photo.

If we ever collect additional information (new forms, visitor-submitted comments or photos, etc.) we will update this page to disclose that.

EU and UK Visitors

You may continue to use the site without clicking on the "Yeah, whatever." button (which is visible only to EU/UK visitors). However, if you continue to use this site your consent to the Privacy Policy is implied.

Visitors from countries other than EU/UK

Websites that use Google Analytics, which this site does, are required by Google to have an "opt in" button, visible to EU and UK visitors.

So that you don't feel left out or any less important, I have created a "Yeah, whatever." button for you as well.

And just like the EU/UK button, whether you click on it or not, you can still use the site and the site still uses cookies.
