Information We Collect

We collect the information you give us. If you fill out a "contact us" form, you give us a first name and an email address. We use that information to send you a note to thank you for your comment or suggestion. If you use the form to ask a question, we use the information you give us to know where to send the answer. We don't know and don't try to find out if the name you give us is your real name.

Please respect other people's privacy and make sure that the email address you give us is correct. Othewise, someone who didn't fill out the form might get a "thank you" note by mistake. Unwanted email is spam and we don't want to send any unwanted email.

The software that does the form and "thank you" response collects the IP address of the computer you used to fill out the "contact us" form, and places a cookie (which expires in a few hours) on that computer. We don't know and don't try to find out if it is actually your computer.

We save the comments, suggestions and questions you submit on the "contact us" form. We use them to try to make TenkaraBum more valuable to visitors. We may use your question to build a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page.

If you send us email, we may keep the email so that we can answer your questions or use your comments and suggestions to improve our website.

We have entered into marketing affiliate relationships with a number of on-line retailers. Clicking on a link to one of their sites will place a tracking cookie on your computer. The cookie is used to show that you were referred to their site by TenkaraBum.com. The cookies expire after 60 to 120 days depending on the retailer.

We use Google Analytics to better understand how visitors use the site. It uses a cookie that collects anonymous traffic data.
