With Apologies to John Gierach and Blog Readers...... Even Brook Tout get the Blues
Fly: Blue Killer Bug
Rod: Kiyotaki 24
Took my wife's rod fishing for small stream brookies. They preferred dries but after I lost my first fly, I switched to the blue Killer Bug and managed to catch maybe 15 in a couple of hours. I'm so photographically challenged I took just the one photo on a convenient bed of green. I worry about keeping them out of the water the 15-30 seconds it takes to snap a photo even though water temps were below 60.

"Be sure in casting, that your fly fall first into the water, for if the line fall first, it scares or frightens the fish..." Col. Robert Venables 1662
As age slows my pace, I will become more like the heron.
The hooks are sharp.
The coffee's hot.
The fish are slippery when wet.
