Two more flies and the fish they caught
by Vic Velasco
My kids turned down my invitation to go fishing this afternoon. They've been on a spin fishing run lately - so with their temporary distraction from fishing, I ran downstairs, tied a killer bug and another superglued blue yarn knot fly, and hit the lake. I caught another 8 of these small bluegill and tiny large mouths - funny how the smaller ones manage to spit the hook just as I'm lifting them from the water. The bite shutdown as the sun set - that's fine by me - the whole weekend is ahead of me and there are carp calling my name. Stay tuned for more fish pictures

The hooks are sharp.
The coffee's hot.
The fish are slippery when wet.
