I must say the western mosquitofish was a super difficult fish to catch on fly. I've caught plenty of eastern mosquitofish on fly with no problem. But the western just wanted to nibble instead of trying to full consume the fly. Needless to say I finally got one at West Bitter Creek near Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Thanks Jimi. I'm getting better at micro fishing but am always trying to perfect my skill. So far I've had about 3 years to work on it. Over time you will get better and better, just don't be afraid to try new styles or tackle.

As age slows my pace, I will become more like the heron.

The hooks are sharp.
The coffee's hot.
The fish are slippery when wet.
