The Trout Mule
by: David

I caught 6 or 7 of them on evening last summer. I wasn't sure what species they were till someone told me they were Tiger Trout.

If I recall correctly the fly I was using was one where the hackle had come loose on one end after I caught the first one, so the fly looked quite a bit ratty. Not sure if the ratty fly attracted them or if it was just the right time of day.

This is the first time I've heard of one of those. Very cool looking hybrid.

As age slows my pace, I will become more like the heron.

The hooks are sharp.
The coffee's hot.
The fish are slippery when wet.
