Pumpkinseed Sunfish

The Pumpkinseeds were just as aggressive as the Redbreasts. Black Killer Buggers got hit.

Had a great time using my Tenkara to seek out sunnies and crappie with the foam spider. Chernobyl ant was also a hit. Occasional hits on the Copper John dropper as well. Gills during spawn on a Tenkara rod has been a highlight of my fishing experience.

Caught other fish on other flies
by: Chris Stewart

It was a very nice vacation. I also caught yellow perch and pike (on a keiryu rod), but not while I was fishing with Black Killer Buggers. I'll try to get a trip report done this weekend.

Return to TenkaraBum Challenge 2014.

“The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten” – Benjamin Franklin

"Be sure in casting, that your fly fall first into the water, for if the line fall first, it scares or frightens the fish..." Col. Robert Venables 1662

As age slows my pace, I will become more like the heron.

The hooks are sharp.
The coffee's hot.
The fish are slippery when wet.
