Small Large Mouth
by Vic Velasco
Lately I've been spin fishing with ultra lightweight equipment and soft baits - I felt like I needed to mix it up. I've been hooking into some good sized bass and some new species I haven't caught before. I'm almost over that and have started circling back around again to flyfishing both western and fixed line. Fishing at the lake - Blue Yarn Killer Bug with a tail. I caught a bunch of these little bass - try as I did to catch a sizable bluegill, the bass were far more aggressive. Looks like they are trying to fatten up for the winter. Time to go out for some carp again...

As age slows my pace, I will become more like the heron.
The hooks are sharp.
The coffee's hot.
The fish are slippery when wet.
