bluegill on blue fly
by scott caldwell
The weather report said 18mph winds, felt more like 28mph.
I found a fairly calm 12'x12' section of the small pond and was able to cast. Caught several small Bluegills.
The blue yarn fly wasn't their favorite but did appeal to a couple.

"Be sure in casting, that your fly fall first into the water, for if the line fall first, it scares or frightens the fish..." -

As age slows my pace, I will become more like the heron.
The hooks are sharp.
The coffee's hot.
The fish are slippery when wet.
