TenkaraBum Challenge - Chain Pickerel
by Alan Deutsch
Double Trouble Bead Head Bugger
Stopped at one of the Cranberry Bogs in South NJ for a quick shot at a Pickerel. I needed to use a spinning rod so I could lift any fish so I tied a double bead head Killer Bugger to add some weight for casting.
It worked and I managed to hook one of four fish. Not bad for 20 minutes of fishing.
I'm not sure why the water looks so blue in the picture. It is actually a dark tea color which is characteristic of Pine Barrens waters.

The hooks are sharp.
The coffee's hot.
The fish are slippery when wet.
