Fishing Fanny PackThe Fishing Fanny Pack (actually the BW Sports Fanny Pack II) is just the thing for when you need to carry lunch as well as flies and tippet. It is the Goldilocks pack - for when the Tippet/Fly pouch is really a bit too small, and the Fishing Backpack is a bit too big. The fanny pack will easily hold the gear a tenkara fisherman wants to take to the stream, plus a water bottle and a sandwich. It even has a pocket for your waterproof camera, although I suppose you could put a second fly box there (that is, you could if you had any need for a second fly box).
In the middle of the back is a good sized pouch that will easily hold a lunch or even a lunch and a second water bottle for those days when dehydration is a concern. Sewn on the back of the pouch is a zippered, fold down ripple foam built-in fly box that will easily hold more (and larger) flies than you need. If you wanted to play around with some light streamers or poppers or buggers, the Fishing Fanny Pack will easily accomodate you. And right at the side of the fold down fly box is a built in zinger, which would be a perfect place for nippers.
Just to the right of the fly box are a couple long thin mesh pockets that seem to have been designed for salt water lure tubes or cigars (or Slim Jim Beef Jerky I suppose - teriyaki flavor, of course). On the inside of the Fanny Pack, along the belt is a zipered pouch for flat, flexible items, like a map or your fishing license, or my train schedules.This really is a very versatile pack, with lots of pockets for your tippet, minimalist fly box, a few lines, etc. There's a built in zinger, a D-ring, foam fly storage inside and out. The water bottle in the photos is included. The web belt is adjustable and has a quick release clasp. The Titanium Tenkara Net or the Tenkara USA tamo slides under the belt and rides nicely - out of the way until you need it but close at hand when you do.
