Best Catch of the Year (so far)
by Vic Velasco
I tied up another Red Tailed Killer Bug and let my son Marlon cast it out on his Kiyotaki. On his own, he spotted a bass hanging out in the shallows. He made repeated casts to it and saw how a different bass came into the same area and made a dash for the fly. The original bass he was casting to wasn't having any of that and after out maneuvering the competitor, Marlon set the hook and got a perfect top lip hookup. He fought the bass for a couple of minutes and was hooting the whole time!!! I couldn't of been happier as he caught this bass!!!!
